Congratulations the new Board of Directors of Oregon ARES, Inc.

Last night, at a special meeting of the membership of the corporation, a new board of directors was selected.  They include Bryant Bischoff, W7BDB, Doug Bush, WD6FLW and Eric Brooks, K7EWB.  Joining them on the board is the Registered Agent of the corporation, Fred Molesworth, AF7S.

Next month, the board will meet and select officers for the year, and likely spend some time defining some policies about use of the funds currently in the bank account.

Any members of the group are welcome at the board meetings, but only board members vote on issues presented to the board.

ARES leadership can ask the board for approval for expenditures, and in fact the board can create a set of standard policies and procedures to streamline certain expenditures as it sees fit.   But ultimately, the board is responsible for legal and prudent use of the funds.
